Great Migration Mara River

Meet our safari guide at Kilimanjaro International Airport depending on your flight arrival time, you’ll be picked up and transferred about 1hr drive to Arusha town.

Arrive at the lodge for leisure while getting prepared for the next day departure for your safari.

You’ll be met by your private guide and vehicle at the hotel  in the morning and driven to Tarangire National Park, arriving with plenty of time for morning and afternoon game drive.

The Tarangire River runs through the park attracting a huge number of elephants, buffalo, giraffe and antelope, particularly in the dry season between June and October. It is not uncommon to see large herds of elephants roaming through Tarangire’s savannah grasses or taking shade under the odd looking “upside down trees” (baobab) that is dotted around the park. The park also boasts over 550 different bird species, the most diverse in Africa, including the Kori bustard, the heaviest flying bird in the world!

On late afternoon you’ll be transferred to Karatu at the lodge for an evening relaxation, dinner and an overnight stay.

Today you’ll be picked up from your hotel in the morning at 7:00, and from there you drive to Serengeti National Park via Ngorongoro Crater.

Ngorongoro is one of the most famous and interesting of Tanzania’s Conservation Area because here you can find the greatest number of different animal species per square kilometer. You’ll have the chance to see buffalo, elephants, lions, wildebeests, zebras, hippopotamus and feline species such as caracals and servals. The luckiest travellers might even see a rhinoceros, an animal whose numbers are rapidly declining.

By lunch time you’ll arrive at the picnic site, where you’ll be offered lunch boxes, after which the safari will continue, ending in a few hours with a transfer to Serengeti National Park at your booked accommodation.

Today you’ll have a full day in the Serengeti, allowing you to explore the vast grassland plains that stretch beyond the horizon, Serengeti is home to millions of wildebeests during the migration and over the huge flat plains you are likely to find lions, cheetah, leopards, hyena,s and many other small predators. Enjoy an en-route game drive from central Serengeti to Northern Serengeti; Mara River where you’ll arrive at your camp/lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

The next 3-days are spent for morning and afternoon game drive in Mara River. Have the most amazing trip of your life where you’ll experience the wildebeest migration first hand, your driver-guide will takes you to the active spot where the wildebeest migration crossing  the Mara River in Serengeti National Park to Masai Mara National Reserve, Kenya, from late July to October.

On late afternoon after enough game drive and picnic lunch, drive back to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Today you’ll set out for a transfer to  Kogatende Airstrip for your scheduled flight at either Arusha Airport or Kilimanjaro International Airport.

Arrive in Arusha airport or Kilimanjaro International Airport  in the afternoon to mark the end of your trip, and you can continue with your onward travels.
