Kenya & Tanzania Big 5 Safari

Our safari guide will pick you up at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and transfer to your hotel in Nairobi for an overnight stay.

Your driver-guide reports to your hotel in the morning for start of the safari, departure for a picturesque drive descending the Great Rift Valley and onwards to Masai Mara.

Arrive at your camp/lodge in Masai Mara for a leisurely lunch. Your  late afternoon game drive starts at 3.30pm, allowing spotting of the amazing wildlife in the reserve ranging from the Big Cats such as Lion, Leopard & Cheetah to Rhino, Elephant and Wildebeest.

Return to your camp/lodge by 6.30pm for dinner and overnight stay. 

You’ll be taken on two game drives today, one in the morning from 6.15am to 9am, before breakfast and the other in the late afternoon after lunch from 3.30pm to 6.30pm. Early mornings and late afternoons are considered the best time to spot animals at their most active. As your safari is private, your game drive timings are flexible, convenient if travelling with children or if on a honeymoon when you perhaps want to lie in longer on some of the days. You may also choose to have a full day game drive with a packed picnic lunch at no extra cost. Return in the evening for dinner and overnight at the camp.

After early breakfast and check-out, proceed for morning game drive en-route to Serengeti National Park. Our Kenyan driver guide will then transfer you to the Isibania border and assist with crossing border formalities with the authorities there. You’ll then cross the border where you’ll find your Tanzanian driver guide and vehicle waiting for an onward transfer to your overnight camp in Serengeti National Park. It will be a long day of driving but the game drives in and out of the parks can be surprisingly incredible.

After breakfast in the morning you’ll safari in the Central-Eastern and Southern parts of the park. The greater part of these areas is a savannah with wide open short grass plain, which provides a likely opportunity to see cheetah hunting antelopes.

In the late afternoon you’ll be transferred back to a hotel, where you’ll have relaxation on evening followed with dinner and be able to rest.

Depart early morning after your breakfast at the lodge in Serengeti, transfer to Ngorongoro Crater for a full day crater tour game drive with picnic lunch. In the evening, you’ll be driven to Karatu for the dinner and overnight stay.

The jewel in Ngorongoro’s crown is a deep, volcanic crater, the largest unflooded and unbroken caldera in the world. About 20kms across, 600 meters deep and 300 sq km in area, the Ngorongoro Crater is a breathtaking natural wonder. You’ll visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner, which is one of the main features of the crater. A large number of flamingos, hippos and other water birds can usually be seen here.

After breakfast, check out and enjoy your transfer from Karatu to Arusha town with some optional stops to some souvenir shops on your way to Arusha Airport or Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward travels.
