Nyerere & Mikumi Safari Tours

Meet our safari guide at Julius Nyerere International Airport depending on your flight arrival time, you’ll be picked up and transferred about 30min drive to the hotel.

Arrival at the lodge for a leisure while get preparing for the next day to depart for your 6-days Nyerere and Mikumi Safari Tours.

You’ll be picked up  at your hotel in Dar es Salaam, drive to the Nyerere National Park which will takes about 5hrs drive. You’ll take part in an afternoon boat safari along the mighty Rufiji River. You can see plenty of hippos, crocodiles, and bird’s life. On evening arrive back at the lodge/ camp for dinner and overnight stay.

You’ll participate in walking safari, private game drives and boating safaris. Nyerere National Park is now Africa’s largest National Park, with an area of 30,000 kilometers square which is bigger than Serengeti two times! Nyerere National Park has the huge number of large game animals such as elephant, buffalos, lions, giraffe, hippos, crocodiles, leopard, waterbuck, zebra wildebeest and over 350 species of birds has been recorded here.

On evening arrive back at the lodge or camp for dinner and overnight stay.

In the morning, you’ll depart after breakfast with en route game drive to Mikumi National Park, crossing through Northern Nyerere National Park.  As soon as you arrive at lunch time, have a short rest and later go for cultural interaction with Maasai Tribe.

Arrive back at the camp on evening for dinner and overnight stay.

Depart after breakfast with packed lunch for a full-day game drives in Mikumi National Park. Whilst on safari, you can see a rich variety of bird species, as well as huge numbers of giraffe, buffalo, and elephants. If you are lucky you may also be able to spot lions, leopards, and African wild dogs. On evening drive back at the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

After early breakfast from lodge with the packed lunches you’ll drive back to Dar es Salaam. You will get a chance to spot/see animals since you’re passing through Mikumi National Park while departing to Dar es Salaam in which you’ll arrive on late afternoon at your own booked accommodation or transferred to the airport for your onward travels.
