Tanzania Chimpanzee Trekking

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) you’ll be met and transferred to Arusha to your booked accommodation to rest for the night, get prepared for the next departure of your 6-days Tanzania Chimpanzee trekking safari.

At 06h30 pick up from a hotel in Arusha/ Dar es Salaam, transfer to the Airport for a schedule flight to Mahale Mountains National Park. On arrival you’ll be picked up and transferred to your booked accommodation for lunch and having some time for relation.

Spreading out from the shores of beautiful Lake Tanganyika, the mountainous terrain of the Mahale Mountain National Park is home to some of Africa’s last surviving wild chimps, and trekking in search of these endearing primates is one of the main attractions of the reserve. The hikes takes you to the chimp’s habitation areas are accessible and not strenuous, although being in good physical condition will ease the strain of walking through the jungle. Observing the endangered primates is an once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Other activities that you can do are forest walks, birding, boat trips, snorkeling, fishing and kayaks.

The Gombe Stream National Park is located on the western border of Tanzania and the Congo. Established in 1968, It is one of the smallest national parks in Tanzania with only 35 km2 of protected land along the hills of the eastern shore of Lake Tanganyika. It is a famous place for those who want to see chimpanzees off the beaten track. Guided hikes take visitors into the forest to see chimpanzees in the wild.

Morning breakfast at the lodge then; you’ll be transferred to Kigoma for your scheduled flight to Arusha/ Dar es Salaam. Meet our vehicle on arrival and transfer to your booked accommodation. Or connect with your International flight for your onward travels.
