Volcanoes Gorilla Trek

On arrival at Kigali International Airport, you’ll be met by our representative and transferred to
your booked hotel for the overnight at The Retreat by Heaven. Staying at this hotel gives you an
experience that envelops you in the breathtaking natural beauty of the country while providing a
sanctuary of tranquility and luxury. Nestled amidst lush green hills and overlooking the pristine
waters of Lake Kivu.

Begin your day by exploring the city and visiting the Genocide Memorial Site to understand
Rwanda’s history and remarkable recovery. After lunch at a local restaurant your journey will
continue to Volcanoes National Park; home to mountain gorillas. Visit a gorilla village to
experience Rwandan culture before returning to your lodge for the night.

After your breakfast, you’ll proceed to the National Park headquarters. Meeting with the park
ranger and followed by park formalities. Volcanoes National Park, home to several habituated
gorilla families. As you trek through dense forests and lush vegetation, guided by expert trackers,
the anticipation builds. Finally, you reach the gorillas’ natural habitat and witness these
incredible creatures up close. Observing their playful behavior, hearing their gentle grunts, and
looking into their expressive eyes are an experience that leaves an indelible mark on your soul.
After an unforgettable day spent with the gorillas, you return to Bishop’s House, where you can
relax in the refined ambiance, share stories of your adventure with fellow guests, and savor
delicious cuisine inspired by both local flavors and international culinary delights.

After breakfast transfer to Kigali, depending on your flight schedule, proceeds to Kigali
International airport for your onward travel, this will mark the end of the Rwanda Gorilla
trekking safari.
